Training

Following attainment of his MBBS in 1996, Dr Jeffrey Goh commenced his internship and residency at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in Adelaide, South Australia.  From 1999, he commenced Physician Training and had early exposure to Haematology and Oncology at QEH.

In 2002, he relocated to Queensland after accepting the position of Haematology and Oncology Registrar at Greenslopes Private Hospital. He subsequently worked as a Laboratory/Clinical Haematology Registrar in 2003 at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. Dr Goh successfully completed his Internal Medicine examinations in 2004 and subsequently completed 3 years of advanced training in Medical Oncology in Brisbane obtaining his FRACP in 2007. He represented the Queensland Medical Oncology Advanced Trainees within the Medical Oncology Group of Australia (MOGA) in 2007.

He commenced as locum Medical Oncologist at Royal Brisbane & Women's in early 2008 and was soon appointed staff Medical Oncologist at Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital (RBWH) in December 2008; the position also provides Oncology services to Prince Charles Hospital (PCH).  From July 2008, he commenced sessional private practice at Greenslopes Private Hospital. 

Dr Goh has also been actively involved in a number of clinical trials including his role as Principal Investigator (PI) in trials such as the Phase II PET-Tarceva (Erlotinib) Study in advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) at PCH in addition to several Gynaecological Oncology, Neuro-Oncology and Urogenital Malignancy Trials at RBWH. He maintains an ongoing interest in clinical trials.

Dr Jeffrey Goh has an ongoing commitment to the teaching and development of medical students in his position as Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Medicine, University of Queensland.    Dr Goh is also fluent in 3 languages and 2 Chinese dialects.

Special Interests

Dr Goh has particular interest in Gynaecologic, Pulmonary, Bowel, CNS and Urogenital malignancies.
