Dr David Grimes

David-Grimes MBBS, FRACP

Medical Oncologist

Dr David Grimes is a Medical Oncologist and the Chairman of the HOCA Board. Dr Grimes is based at HOCA @ Wesley and visits HOCA Chermside for weekly sessions. He also regularly visits North West Private Hospital and Greenslopes Private Hospital. 

Dr Grimes graduated from the University of Queensland in 1984 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 1992.  Following successful residencies at The Princess Alexandra Hospital and registrar and senior registrar positions at The South Brisbane Haematology / Oncology Unit and The Queensland Radium Institute at Royal Brisbane Hospital, Dr Grimes completed a clinical fellowship at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute New York in 1993 and 1994 specialising in bone marrow transplantation and medical oncology.

Dr Grimes continues to participate in clinical research and serves on several national advisory boards, he has, since its inception been convener for The South East Queensland Oncology group.
